The Beadalon Beading Awl is a handy tool for beadworkers, jewelry makers and anyone who works with small, delicate items. It is sturdy and comfortable to hold, with a metal awl that is about 1-1/2" long. It can be used for a variety of purposes, such as untangling knots or restringing pearls. The awl has a sharp tip that graduates to a 3mm diameter at the largest size, and is 36.5mm/1.44” in length. It does not come with a protective cap, but is packaged in a hard, clear "clamshell"-type package with a cardboard backing. Overall, customers are very satisfied with this product, finding it a handy and versatile tool for various purposes. It has been especially helpful for beaders and jewelry makers, and has made tasks such as knotting and weaving much easier. Some customers have noted that the circumference is a bit too big for getting knots out of beading thread, but it works well for other purposes.
