Horror Editorial Review
**** "Razorback," an Australian horror/action film, has garnered a notable reception among fans and enthusiasts of the genre. Many viewers rave about its entertaining execution, asserting that it stands out as a classic within the realm of creature features. The film's chilling music complements its dark narrative, and audiences have praised its special effects, particularly the detailed portrayal of the eponymous gigantic pig. Despite some criticism regarding the limited close-up shots of the creature, the ambiance and intriguing storytelling have left enduring impressions on viewers, especially those who experienced it in their childhood. Director Russel Mulcahy's debut has been recognized for its visually striking style and energetic direction, traits that some argue he hasn't replicated in subsequent works. The film's screenplay, penned by genre veteran Everett De Roche, adds further credibility to its quality. Nonetheless, some concerns have been raised about the film's lead actor, Gregory Harrison, whose casting was viewed as a compromise by producers looking to economize. Challenges related to the film's home media format have been mentioned, with reports of compatibility issues on American Blu-ray players, likely due to PAL encoding. Despite this, many customers express satisfaction with the cinematic experience, leading to an overall recommendation for fans of horror and creature films to include "Razorback" in their collections. **
