LUK Complete Clutch Sets Editorial Review
The Schaeffler LuK RepSet 07-131 Clutch Kit receives a mixed reception from customers, although many notably appreciate its performance and compatibility with various Ford diesel models. Users report that the clutch grabs effectively and enhances vehicle performance compared to stock options. Several highlights include seamless installation, provided that appropriate tools like a transmission jack are used—this advice is frequently reiterated by those who undertook DIY installations. However, there are notable downsides. A recurring issue is the quality of the included throw-out bearing; some users experienced failures with the factory-installed part, prompting them to seek alternatives that are perceived to be of higher quality, such as bearings from Timken. This concern suggests that while the main clutch components are satisfactory, the auxiliary components could benefit from improvements. Overall, customers generally find the clutch kit to be a solid choice for enhancing vehicle performance, yet the inConsistency with certain components raises concerns that might discourage some potential buyers. **
