Portwest Jackets Editorial Review
The Portwest Modern jacket has received mainly negative reviews on its fit, waterproofing, and overall quality. Many customers reported that the sizes were at least two sizes smaller than other vendors' products and recommended ordering two sizes up. The wrist elastics were too tight, and the waterproof laminate was too thin, making it unsuitable for reasonable rain. The inner fleece was also too thin, and the hood was too small, providing no overhang over the forehead, leaving part of the hairline exposed. The stitches were deemed weak, further reducing the jacket's quality. The reviewer advised against purchasing the jacket and instead recommended making a homemade oilskin hoodie with cotton material, vegetable oil, rubbing alcohol, and carnauba wax. Contacting the seller proved unsuccessful, leaving the reviewer feeling disappointed with the product's quality, adding that it contributed to environmental trash.
