Action & Adventure Editorial Review
The iconic Scarface movie from 1983 is still as great as it was when it first came out. The acting is exceptional, especially Al Pacino as Tony Montana. The scenery and action are also noteworthy, making for an entertaining gangster movie. The steelbook quality is reliable, but be warned that the language and violence may not be suitable for all viewers. The film is a modern interpretation of the classic 1932 movie that is set in 1980s Miami, exploring the struggles, greed, desperation, and brutality that defined that era. However, it has a personal connection for one reviewer living in Florida during that time, as the movie accurately reflects the events of the Mariel boat lift and the widespread cocaine use and violence. For lovers of gangster movies, this is a must-watch with an exceptional cast.
