The U-Turn Orbit Turntable is a manual turntable that produces high-quality audio. Users need to place the stylus on the record manually and be present to remove it so as not to damage the cartridge. A tonearm lifter is available as a $40 option. The turntable has RCA outputs that could use a right-angled RCA cable, but the power adapter plug extends past the deck's edge, making the footprint 13 1/2" deep. The Orbit comes standard with a felt mat, but users can use a cork mat or place records directly onto the acrylic platter. The turntable does not come with a preamp and requires buyers to purchase a phono preamp or use it with an amplifier that has one installed. Additionally, the belt drive system is exposed, and the belt continuously falls off. Although some customers had issues with the quality of the product and the belt system, others praised the turntable's design and sound quality. The company's customer service was also praised for its responsiveness to customer inquiries.
