SparkFun MIDI Interfaces 8541589300 Editorial Review
SparkFun MIDI Shield is a versatile and user-friendly kit designed for prototyping MIDI projects. It allows you to connect your Arduino with MIDI capabilities, supporting up to 16 channels. Users appreciate the built-in opto-isolator for clean MIDI input, which facilitates easy filtering and MIDI-thru functionality. The handy 'prog/run' switch simplifies code updates without needing to disassemble the setup, making prototyping more efficient. However, some users have noted that the MIDI jacks don’t align perfectly with the Arduino's ports, requiring modifications for enclosure use, and that additional jumper blocks are necessary for certain Arduino models. Overall, it's an excellent choice for enthusiasts looking to experiment with MIDI connectivity.
