The Sony HX400V is a great camera with many features, including the ability to operate it remotely with smartphones, use 55mm filters, have a minimum focus distance of 1cm and produce its own WiFi. It is an excellent camera for astrophotography and bird photography, with a great zoom and high-quality resolution. It has a few drawbacks, including a 2-second delay between shots and the continuous shooting mode having a 5-second refractory period. It also has an error message (E:62:10) that can appear, which can significantly impact the camera, especially at longer focal lengths. The camera does not have the best automatic selection of ISO settings in low light, but it produces a wide spectrum of abilities in a small package. Generally, it is a solid purchase if quality photos are desired.
