The Eye: Basic Sciences in Practice is an excellent reference book for ophthalmologists and students alike. It provides in-depth and easy-to-understand information on basic eye sciences. However, there are several mistakes throughout the book which is inexcusable in an anatomical text. Also, there are many diagrams and figures with acronyms but no key and explanation, making it difficult to understand. The Biochem chapter is a mess and of no relevance to the eye. Despite its flaws, it is still a must-have for those studying ophthalmology.
