Midway Games Editorial Review
NBA Hoopz - PlayStation 2 is a basketball video game that attempts to capture the excitement of street basketball, yet many reviews highlight its shortcomings. Players express disappointment over its lack of defensive gameplay and cluttered screens, particularly with the addition of a third player that many feel adds little to the experience. Despite some positive notes on graphics and the ability to earn attribute points for players, the overall satisfaction seems low, as many find the gameplay repetitive and slow. It's worth noting that while it has casual appeal for party settings, it doesn't quite measure up to other more polished basketball titles from its era.
