Answer: Yes, we kept losing small fish (tetra for e.g.) as they’d end up in the filter system (basically found them on the sponge). Lost 6 fish in quite quick succession, tried doubling up media with no luck. Changed tanks in the end.

The package contains enough rocks for a 4-gallon BiOrb aquarium, and additional bags may be required for larger ones. The ceramic media is sharp, making it hazardous to use in turtle tanks or for bottom feeders. It is made of ceramic pebbles providing a lot of surface area for beneficial bacteria. Rinse it first to remove dust and grit before using it to avoid scratching your betta or other aquatic pets.
